Terms of service

Last updated October 12, 2026

By creating a RoastBook account you agree to these terms. If you sign up for a company, you agree on its behalf.

The service

RoastBook is a tool for logging green coffee lots, roast batches and cupping scores. It is a record of what your roastery entered: weights left, weight loss and roasted costs are worked out from those entries and are only as accurate as they are. It is not food safety, accounting or tax software, and you remain responsible for your own labeling, traceability and food safety obligations. We aren't responsible for business decisions made from the numbers.

Your account

  • Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • The company owner controls who joins the company's account and can disable users at any time.
  • Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break in, overload it, or access other companies' data.

Plans and billing

  • Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • You can cancel any time from the Billing page; you keep paid features until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give partial refunds.
  • The Micro plan is free for one person, with its limits on green lots and roast batches a month. If a paid plan lapses, the account goes back to Micro's limits and logins: your records stay, but roaster and cupper logins are paused until you subscribe again.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.

Your data

Your company's records belong to you. You can export them at any time. See the privacy policy for what we store.

Availability

We work to keep RoastBook running but can't promise it will never be down. The service is provided "as is", and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will email account owners about material changes. You can stop using RoastBook at any time; we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
